Laboratory Testing
At Nature Med we believe that medical lab testing is a key aspect to diagnosis and assessment. Together with your symptoms, physical exam, and other factors that contribute to your health, lab testing provides an additional piece to the puzzle. Lab tests help to point us in the direction of certain diseases, assess nutrient deficiencies and other imbalances. Lab testing is also important as a preventative tool to catch sub-optimal levels early, and to follow-over time to ensure numbers are not making a trend for the worse.
Nature Med offers a wide array of lab testing from a wide variety of medical laboratories. These include conventional blood testing (just like your medical doctor would order) to more specialized testing. Dr. Dionisio will work with you to determine which lab test may be necessary for you.
Laboratory testing is not covered in the consultation fee, nor is it covered by OHIP. Prices vary from just a few dollars to more expensive specialized testing.
Our clinic uses the local Owen Sound Life Labs (located in the Professional Building) for conventional blood and urine lab testing. We also offer more specialized testing from labs such as Rocky Mountain Anaylytical, Metametrix, Doctor’s Data, and Neuro Science.
